Okay! Second try!

 Continuing the previous entry:

It’s a me!

Mostly vintage pieces (and mostly secondhand thrifted, like 99% of my wardrobe is). Hat is modern, jacket and sweater are both maybe 80s, pants are late 80s-early 90s riding denim (I have six or so pairs in the same era and size that I found at various thrift stores around town and am convinced belonged to a single person with a fantastic wardrobe), gloves are either 60s or 80s but fantastic either way (yellow lace! Yellow lace! Remember what I said about yellow lace? I love it!), and boots are just modern fast fashion mimics of the real thing. Not too comfortable, and scuff like the dickens, but very cute and will do until I can find proper go-gos!

I like to mug for cameras I cannot lie

Back to the rummage sale finds! I have a couple more I haven’t shown you—

$3 witchy hat—the person ringing me up almost left this in the pile of fabrics without charging me, but I was very responsible and pointed it out. See how responsible and not bragadocious at all I am?
I also helped one of the volunteers move a heavy bin. I’ve been struggling with health issues lately that have left me with barely enough energy to even leave the house, but I’m on a new med that’s helping a bit, and it feels wonderful to have the energy to even help others a bit again! Oh, I missed being helpful!

Last rummage sale find (for now, I’ll be back later of course)—a lovely print that I think might actually be of the era. There were a few others similar there that I snuck a look at the backside of (as rude as that sounds), and the paper was a bright white that made me suspect modern repro—but this had the slight yellowing I’d associate with being at least a couple of decades old, perhaps more. I don’t know how to authenticate vintage prints, but it doesn’t matter a lot—she’s lovely whether she’s old or younger than she looks.

And that afternoon I was treated to some very lovely cirrus clouds. No, not chemtrails or whatever the conspiracy theorists are calling natural cloud formations these days—they’re perfectly natural cirrus clouds, just particularly lovely ones.

What a nice day!

  1. Lovely clouds! I'm a fan of Cloud Drama! So nice to meet you - you are GORGEOUS, and I love your glasses and make-up. I thrift pretty regularly, and 90% of my wardrobe is secondhand (I also shop consignment, when I'm feeling flush $-wise). Your print might be from the 70s or 90s (both times when the Art Nouveau style was trendy for home decor), but not likely to be from the early 1900s.
